    What is stress?

    S
    tress is the mental,emotional,and/or physical strain which distrurbs your mind and body’s equilibrium. Anything that perverts or abuse our energy towards our desired functions is stress.It has several other names such as : tension,depression,frustration,anxiety,worry and gllom. Everyone is vulnerable to it.Age,gender,occupation or place,none of them makes a diffrence.

    Stress is Subjective
    In the sence that an irritating factor which may be stressful to one person,might be stimulating to another because he takes it as a challenge and turns it into a positve force. Many people thrive on challenges,others react with fear,anxiety and worry. If you react positively,there is little problem and you will live a happier life,but if you don’t handle it with care,you may suffer.

    What Causes Stress?
    1.Any desire which can not fulfil,create stress –Universal cause.e.g. u want more money but u can achieve.,a obese person wil try to reduce a weight but he/she cant sucess.
    2.Achived a person or object which u unlike - Universal cause.e.g.a men or women u dont like but u marry with him/her.,a boss which is not co-operative that create stress at your office place.
    3.Death of nearest person
    4.Faluire in love
    5.Unemployment
    6.Economical crisis
    7.Strained marital relations.
    8.Work overload
    9.Exam

AYURVEDA

The terms ‘Ayurveda’ consists of two words,namely, ‘Ayus’ and ‘Veda’ meaning ‘the science of life’.It is traditionally considered as as a supplement to the Vedas.

The methods of treatment prescribed by Lord Punarvasu Atreya are meant both for the healthy person(for the maintenance of their health and prevantion of disease) and patients(for the cure of their ailments.( Ca.si. 12:53-54)

Branches :




Ayurveda have eight specialized branches.There are:-

I. Kayacikitsa or Internal medicine.
II. Shalya cikitsa or Surgery
III. Shalakya cikitsa or E.N.T or treatment of disease of the organs in the Head and Neck
IV. Vish cikitsa or Txicology
V. Graha cikitsa –Bhutavidhya or Psychiatry
VI. Bal cikitsa-Kaumara bhrtya or padiatrics
VII. Rasayana-Rejenuvation therapy
VIII. Vajikaran-Aphrodisiacs
